Choosing to start therapy is an act of courage and an investment in your own well-being. While my work with carers is specialised, my individual practice is open to anyone navigating the complexities of being human—whether you are dealing with a specific crisis, a long-standing pattern, or a general sense of feeling stuck.
Building the Foundation
Our initial sessions are about safety and “landing.” We get to know one another, establishing a relational bond where you feel truly seen and heard without judgment.
Deepening the Work
As trust grows, we may begin to look further back. Using an integrative approach, we explore the origins of your beliefs and the systemic pressures that have shaped you, helping you to untangle the past from your present.
Understanding the Landscape:
We look at the here and now—the immediate challenges you are facing—and develop practical coping mechanisms to help you navigate daily life with more ease.
Integration and Change
The goal is to move from simply surviving your circumstances to feeling empowered within them. We work to align your life with your values, questioning old “rules” that no longer serve the person you are becoming.
You don’t have to wait for a breaking point to seek support. Therapy is a space to breathe, to reflect, and to reclaim your agency.
What to Expect
Frequency
Weekly
Sessions are typically held weekly at the same time, providing a consistent rhythm for your healing. If required, session frequency can be increased to twice weekly to reflect psychodynamic work or support during a crisis.
Duration
50 minutes
Each session lasts 50 minutes—this is your dedicated time to put down the world’s expectations and focus solely on yourself.
*First therapy session is 90 minutes to allow extra time to establish the relationship and explore your story.
Environment
Online/In-Person
Whether we meet in person or online, I prioritise a trauma-informed space that feels quiet, confidential, and physically and emotionally safe.
Taking the First Steps
The most important part of therapy is finding the right fit. It’s normal to feel a mix of hesitation and hope when reaching out, and I aim to make that process as gentle as possible.
The Introductory Call
If you have questions about my approach or want to see if we click before committing, I offer a free 10-minute introductory phone call.
The Initial Connection
If you feel ready to start our work together, you can book your first consultation directly. The first session is 90 minutes, allowing extra time to begin exploring your story and establishing the foundations of our therapeutic relationship.
Ongoing Service
Ongoing therapy sessions are 50 minutes.
If we decide to work together, we will find a regular time that fits your schedule. There is no commitment to a set number of sessions; we work together for as long as the space feels useful to you.
